At one of the meeting I went to for work, one guy clamed he had some many bobcats that the turkeys in his woods would not even go in his woods. HAhaha winter time turkeys look for food out in open country with less snow cover and he was thinking it was all bobcats.

Dave Hastings, the editor for The Fur Taker, stated in one of his articles that the Nebraska DNR had found no turkey feathers in the stomach contents of bobcats. Also quoted statistics that the Nebraska harvest had increased dramatically in the last 10 years. Their season begins December 1 which I wish we could switch to. I dropped some beaver off at the fur buyer the other day and he had this cat laying on the floor. Cat wasn't much good when caught Nov. 3rd but is total junk now after being frozen and thawed repeatedly while being showed to the trapper's friends. Wish we could harvest them while they're prime by opening the season later or limiting the catch by selling a set number of tags.

Plenty of turks around here. I have personally only seen one cat, but have several friends who have seen them.

I thnk it should be unlimited too. Because when they to decide to eat turkeys. It's gonna be too late! I see no need for bobcat in this state? What good do they bring? Besides your thrill of catching it and selling it?

I'm hoping they acquire a taste for Great Horned Owls...they're hatching right now. You seem pretty grumpy, CmC. Your hot GF dump you for an ISU grad?
