Gonna hit couple spots next week. Then hit it hard the following week. Actually put a couple out after work tonight couldn't help myself. Should have a couple in the morn. There was one swimming in the channel when I came over the bank. Still ice on edges but they have been very active.

Last st pats day we were bird hunting on a pheasant farm and it was 70 degrees, temps almost killed my poor old lab. All the dogs and us had ticks. Pretty crazy spring last year

we got 8 to 10 inches of snow and supposed to melt this wkend along with chance of 1 1/2 inches of rain saturday alone. not supposed to help ground alot because of frost. predicting runoff in streams and bank or over full, later next week hoping high water get back to normal and clear out ice and some frost in ground everthing. high water should get traviling beaver start going would think

either I'm crazy or I just like the fact that all rivers and ditches have now opened up (even though high water) but today was a set day

Hope nobody had anything set around these parts. A lot of huge ice and very fast water headed downstream today.

Creek down the road is out of its banks, and the river isn't far behind.
It will be awhile before I'll be setting any beaver traps.

High water and it looks like if this keeps up a foot of wet snow by morning. This sucks. It's good to have the moisture but I'm ready for spring.

Moisture isn't doing us much good here with the ground still froze. Creek ended up washing the road out over night in 3 places. Had to make a big loop just to get to town this morning.
