Anyone know anything about spray painting traps? I tried water dipping mine with no success and I don't have the money to speed dip them. What are some pros and cons about spray painting them???

I dip the traps in paint and then spray paint stripes on my conibears and stands just so its harder for thieves to see. It's really cut down on the amount of theft.

Could you spray paint foot traps for land trapping?

Does it matter if it's like a flat black or a gloss black? Does the shine make it visible?

I'd avoid black, it sticks out too much for my liking. I use camo colors on my body grippers at times and it really helps blend them in... ~ADC~

Does it matter if it's like a flat black or a gloss black? Does the shine make it visible? Doesn't make any difference on canine traps you bury in the dirt, but depends if you're painting them to preserve them or hide them. Either will protect from excessive rusting but flat is better for camoflaging them . A flat primer would bea good choice. A "dead grass" tan works very well for snares and 220's for trail sets.

I'm using a dark brown and it turned out a little bit shiny. I'm trapping mostly coon mink and rat
