With the larger pan is anybody having any problems with pullouts or toeing? I can see the advantages of a larger kill area but can also see not getting a good hold if a coon hits the pan out on the edge. What are your thoughts?

This was my concern as well as I put pinch pans on every 1.5 I own. Was told I would catch more toes but I have not found that to be the case. Actually my coon catch rate went up. I had friend who thought the same...and another who catches more coon on accident than many catch on purpose with them.

I have put #13/4 pans on several of my 11/2 coils with the same experience as Calvin. Most good catches still boil down to proper trap placement and/or no pan tension.

Bigger factory type pans I could see, but the flimsy bend over the original pan type would not last long in good coon country. Unless maybe you only set in root wads and really narrow areas that a big old coon could not walk through.
