I have taken all 3 of my boys out enjoying the outdoors since they could walk. Watch out you always keep them hungry and don't make work of it or you will burn them out. LOL LLL

Cool pics. I think my 5 year old weighs 46 lbs right now so he would only have about 6 lbs on that fish. You are right LLL on not burning them out. Our outings right now are short and sweet. Too long and he's ready to get back to his tractors/ trucks or whatever the toy of the day is.

LOL LLL I enjoyed having all three of my kids join me on the trapline. None of them have become trappers but all enjoy hunting/shooting/fishing. Both of my girls are better shots than their husbands.

FOR SEVERAL YEARS NOW, MY WIFE HAS ACCUSSED ME OF "CREATING-A-MONSTER" BY INTRODUCING OUR SON TO HUNTING AND TRAPPING AT A VERY EARLY AGE. HE IS NOW GROWN, OUT OF THE HOUSE AND ENJOYS THESE ACTIVITIES AS MUCH, IN NOT MORE, THAN ME.
MY TWO ADULT DAUGHTERS ALWAYS ENJOYED BEING ON THE TRAPLINE WITH ME, BUT NEITHER OF THEM WOULD WATCH ME "KILL" ANY ANIMALS. ONE OF MY DAUGHTERS STILL LOVES TO BE IN THE SKINNING SHED AND DOES A MAJORITY OF MY RAT SKINNING.

Thanks for sharing. I have 3 girls that trap with me at times. I think they like going to the furbuyers the most. Something about girls loving money. ;D

All of my kids (three boys and a girl) were exposed to the out doors since before they could walk. My daughter used to enjoy watching as I cleaned rabbits, squirrels and pheasants...she had a ton of questions about anatomy and I thought she would be a Vet of doctor or something...didn't work out that way but that was OK.
My boys all love to hunt and fish. I didn't trap when They were young so they were never exposed to that part of the out doors. I'm sure they would be doing some of that if they were though.
Now, they are all grown up and teaching thier own kids about the outdoors.
It is our Greatest American Heritage...let us not allow anyone to take it away from us.
Enjoying the pic's and stories.

Good thread! I like taking my girls on summer jobs. Here is a coon we caught in a Z INSIDE a double wired electric fence this morning... My brother had two cages outside the wires for two nights but obviously this coon was wise to the cage.
