As most of you know, HF45 was passed in the House and now has been kicked over to the senate for debate. If we wish to protect our ability and our Conservation Constitutional Amendments purposes, we must rally together and ask our Senators to strip out the provision that seeks to strip our IDNR (Fish & Wildlife Department from having the ability to purchase any new lands or any other agreement where real property is acquired.) We cannot allow this portion of the Iowa Tax Payer Relief Act to survive the senate and it will take your e mails to get it thrown out of the tax payer relief act.
You can find your Senator here www.legis.iowa.gov/Legislators/senate.aspx
Please also send Majority Leadership Mike Gronstal an e mail telling him that you support getting that provision thrown out and into the trash heap where it belongs. You can contact Mike at michael.gronstal@legis.state.ia.us
Once again folks I wish to thank you for your time and your help on this very critical issue. As sportsmen this proposal if passed will have huge negative impacts to our ability to protect, restore and enhance our habitat and certainly kill future recreational opportunities. Pure and simple if a law is passed one must be written and passed to reverse what has been done. This could be years if we are lucky to reverse what has been done if at all. So it is extremely important that we fight like hell in the senate to strip this portion of the Tax Payer Relief Act.
Good Luck Sincerely, William J. Smith 712-253-0362 FHD101@AOL.COM
