I am fairly fond of 1 hour 16 minutes or so.
Don't let ignorant, uninvested individuals administrate our rights away.

Yammerschooner I totally agree this is one of the most important issues that I have seen in quite some time. We all need to take time and listen to the clip you have posted!!!!!!!!! When senator Black is taking action then we had better listen as he s a strong supportor of Ia outdoor activities.

Over 100 views and not a peep?
What a shame this has turned so political.
One would think we'd want folks managing our DNR with a much more vested interest........IOWA deserves much better than what's happening.
NO hunting licenses, no habitat stamp.........very few fishing licenses..............IMPRESSIVE!

These positions are filled/appointed by our elected Gov.,at least the director. He in turn appoints his asst. directors that he feels politically pressured to put in others the Gov. wants in there. With a NURSING DEGREE and an outdated peace officer certificate this sounds like a perfect pick for Chet to watchdog our resources. I don't think this is good for IA or her resources and ultimately that is what will be hurt from all this. As sportsman we need to unite and this November fire every one of these arrogent ---holes!!

I really believe that the downturn in hooks and bullets mentality within the DNR started back when Paul Johnson was picked to head up the DNR. Within that time frame you saw more emphasis placed onto non-game activities, butterfly biologists and the like.
It just didn't start recently, although it's probably more pronounced these days due to the access to quick information on the internet.
Either way, the worm needs to turn back to the way it was.
