Is there a conibear out there bigger then a 220 that is still 8inches inside spread or slightly less. I'd like to have the extra room in them to catch otter's on crossovers instead of using a 220.

I believe the Northwood 250 may have been legal, but I won't swear on it, Jayme can get on here and tell ya the facts!! This topic has been brought more than once. Later Ray.

A 220 is 7x7 and a 280 is 8x8.

The 280 is a great otter trap and also very useful for beaver.

I'm told the Belisle 280's measure just legally. (I've not put a tape to them, but others have.) No other brand 280 that I am aware of fits the regulations. The NW 250 is also legal as the regulations read now.

Just be careful how and where you use them. Stake them down well. LLL

Are they legal Larry? Also I just want some for private groundn to try um out. Got some good spots picked out where a 280 would work better IMO.
