Thanks

My favorite are the ones that were made from 10 doz #1s picked up for $30 a doz at the 97 Minn NTA and converted to 11s by adding $1.25 springs also bought there. Reason= price. New I would go with double-jaw sleepy creeks.

Victor with the pinch pans and blake and lambs. They never put pinch pans on #11's. Did you have them modified? ~ADC~

I think you are talking about side pinch and not the pinch pan they came with. Some call them flopper pans also but you pinch them on so I would call them pinch pans. LLL

Oh ok, I see what you are thinking now. Those are referred to as hump frame traps. I thought maybe you had them modified to use real pinch pans. ~ADC~

All I know is I have to have a few on hand because they come un"pinched" and I have to "pinch" on another.LOL By the way that is what I don't like about the trap. LLL

I have been known to put a spot of weld on them so they can't open up, only takes a few seconds IF you have a welder.

The flopper pans that Kendall O. sells will fit on the sleepy creek no.11s. We checked them out at the NTA last year.

What are the advantages of the double jaw on a #11? Other than to keep the coon, mink, or muskrat's nose out of the trap, the double jaw also serves another purpose. On any trap (unless very weak) once the animal is caught the foot swells up a little bit in the trap. When this happens on a double jaw the foot swells in between the jaw and the double jaw making escape virtually impossible even if the animal has chewed off its foot.
